Is there really a free trial?
Yes — Starter includes a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Professional and Enterprise are paid from day one so we can give you full support during setup.
What counts as an "active event"?
An event is active from the moment you create it until 7 days after its end date. Past events stay in your archive forever and don't count toward your limit.
What happens if I go over my plan limits?
We'll notify you well before you hit a limit. Registrations and check-ins never break mid-event — you'll keep accepting attendees and we'll follow up to upgrade or add an overage pack.
Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal. Cancel anytime from your billing settings.
Do I keep my data if I cancel?
Always. You can export every module to CSV at any time — registrations, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, incidents, and announcements — even after you cancel.
Are there extra payment processing fees?
When you collect money through Stripe, Stripe's standard processing fees apply (typically 2.9% + 30¢ in the US) and go directly to Stripe. HoldThat doesn't add a platform fee on top.
Do you offer non-profit or church discounts?
Yes — registered non-profits and churches get a meaningful discount. Contact us with proof of status and we'll set it up.
Can my team start without me on the same plan?
Team seats share one plan and one billing account. Invite your coordinators from Settings → Team — they sign in with their own email and your role permissions control what they can do.
