Acceptable Use Policy

These rules keep EventOS safe and reliable for every organizer, vendor, sponsor, volunteer, and attendee using it.

Last updated: August 23, 2026

1. Prohibited content and conduct

  • Illegal activity, or promoting or facilitating it.
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that exploits or endangers minors.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Fraudulent events, deceptive fundraising, or misrepresenting who you are.
  • Malware, phishing, or attempts to compromise accounts or infrastructure.

2. Messaging and email

Announcements and outreach may only be sent to people who have a genuine relationship with your event or organization, such as applicants, registrants, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers. Purchased or scraped lists are not permitted. Messages must identify your organization, be accurate, and honor unsubscribe requests promptly.

3. Platform integrity

Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without written permission; bypass access controls or rate limits; access another organization's workspace or data; scrape the service; or use automation that degrades performance for others. API keys must be kept secret and used only within your own organization.

4. Participant data

Data you collect through EventOS may only be used for the event and organizational purposes your participants would reasonably expect. Do not sell participant data or share it with unrelated third parties.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, throttle usage, suspend workspaces, or terminate accounts. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement. Where reasonable, we will contact the workspace owner before taking action.

6. Reporting abuse

Report abuse, security issues, or content concerns to events@holdthat.systems. Please include links, screenshots, and any relevant details so we can act quickly.
